Prof. MarĂ­a Isabel Pedraza Morales (IP) is a younger scientist already in level one of the mexican National System of Researchers (SNI 1). Her background is mostly experimental, but her Ph.D. thesis also included theoretical work on possible effects of a charged Higgs boson in one of the simplest extensions of the Standard Model. She is co-author of 650 publications in journals indexed more than 40,000 citations.

Deputy Upgrade Coordinator for the RPCs from 2017 to 2019. Coordination of the upgrade activities for the RPC (Resistive Plate Chambers), subdetector of the CMS (Compact Muon Solenoid) of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), which involves 21 institutions from 13 countries.

Mexican Supercomputing Network

The Mexican Supercomputing Network is a Thematic Network of CONACYT (National Council of Science and Technology) formed by individuals from academic and research institutions, national laboratories, private enterprise and government seeking ongoing collaboration, knowledge sharing and human resources in the field of High Performance Computing.

As a member of the Technical and Academic Committee Member, I contribute to the decision making on technology acquisition and distribution, as well as the use of the resources.
